Butterfly #324
Material:
Shuttle and Ball (or 2 shuttles if you don't want to use the SLT)
DMC Cotton Perle #12
Sulky Metallic Gold
The first time I made this butterfly I discovered that in 3 occasions the
bare thread is noticed in the back of the butterfly. I'm kind of picky with
this. So I went to sleep and in the morning I tried the butterfly for a
second time making just a tiny modification so the bare thread wouldn't be
noticeable in the back. I got inspired by the other antique butterfly
(Butterfly #317) we studied.

Note: Anyway you'll need to pass the thread behind the butterfly's body to make the 2nd wing's outer round. So, I, instead of passing the bare thread I made a CH of 5 ds. You can make the chain and it's going to look like part of the design or pass the thread behind the body. Whatever you decided, join to the base of the small wing and continue working.
