Today I took my shuttle, hairpin lace fork and started fumbling around with the idea of using pearl tatting as a substitute to Hairpin Lace.  The results are great.  I mean, the long picots of a pearl tatting strip when made in a 1:1 ratio behave in the same way as a hairpin lace strip.     Yikes!  Am I a Tatting Nerd?  LOL

Anyway, here is the picture of the fan.  Later I'll try to make it into a doily.
